Abstract:
This paper studies the work of the mangrove "experimental forest" conducted by Academician Lin Peng at Xiatanwei, Xiamen in 2005. It analyzes the ecological restoration effects of
Kandelia obovata and
Sonneratia apetala, the ecological effects of different planting patterns of the native species and the introduced species and the status of vegetation evolution in each stage. Results showed that the dispersal ability of
S. apetala was poor in Xiamen sea area without any harmful ecological invasion and there was a trend of ecological naturalization. By reinforcing management and control, maximizing favourable factors and minimizing unfavourable ones, applying policies according to local conditions with zoning and considering local habitat and rational planning, we can give full play to the positive role of exotic plants.
